10/09/07 - Tour of Britain Races Through
Between half past 12 and 1 O'Clock today the Tour of Britain cycle race passed through the area - in a flash.
I was lucky to be able to watch it pass through my home village of Wellow, bu the motorcyclists, police cars and all the support vehicles made far more of a spectacle than the cyclists who were moving at a great rate as they shot up Whinwhistle Road.
There was a good collection of local residents there to clap and cheer as they passed - I was determined to get a photo - from which it looks as though the pink team was in the lead!
