Cllr Caroline Nokes, the TVBC cabinet member for Leisure and Wellbeing, spent this morning with year 1 and 2 pupils at Wellow School discussing how the Council decides to build new playgrounds, where they go and the equipment put in them.
Her visit was part of a project the school are doing on playgrounds, and at the end of the week the pupils will design a playground, and a piece of equipment from the winning design will be built in one of Test Valley's playgrounds.
Caroline said:
"They were really enthusiastic about the project and it was great to hear all the different ideas. I hope the children enjoy their playground tour tomorrow and see some of the new and popular playgrounds TVBC has installed over the last couple of years."
