10th March is No Smoking Day across the country and local parliamentary candidate Caroline Nokes is supporting the initiative which encourages smokers to kick the habit.
In Caroline's own campaign team Jo Hatley has been successful in keeping off cigarettes since 1st January, and Caroline believes No Smoking Day is another milestone date which can encourage people to give up smoking for good.
Across the country there have been thousands of no smoking events today, desgined to help people, and let them know that they are not alone in wanting to give up.
In the current ecnomic climate the fiscal realities of smoking can be brought home very easily. The average smoker will be £180 better off in the first month of giving up.
