Sundays are usually a day of rest from campaigning, but Caroline was out today with a team of volunteers delivering leaflets and talking to voters in Bassett.
At lunchtime she took part in the Radio Solent programme “The Good Life” to talk about the Green Flag award which is a measure of quality for parks and open spaces (much like the blue flag award for beaches). Involvement with this scheme was part of Caroline’s role as Cabinet member for leisure on Test Valley Borough Council. Romsey Memorial Park was the first park in the Test Valley to be awarded the Green Flag and both the Council and the Friends of the Memorial Park are very proud of the award and the park itself.
The Borough Council also has Green Flag status for Rooksbury Mill in Andover (pictured).
