Year 10 Pupils Grill Councillors
Cllrs Caroline Nokes, Roy Perry and Pat West all took part in today's Democracy Day at Romsey School, and were given the chance to go political speed dating with some year 10 pupils.
In a fast moving session the young people each had three minutes to ask the local councillors some searching questions and to find out a bit more about how local councils work.
Speaking after the event Cllr Caroline Nokes said:
"It was really interesting to have only three minutes to respond to whatever the pupils had to ask. Many of the questions were very well thought out and interesting, and as the leisure portfolio holder for the Borough Council it gave me a chance to hear what the young people think about facilities locally.
"I hope they got as much out of the day as I did and who knows it may have inspired some of them to be Councillors themselves one day."
